Washington Motorcycle Safety Training

Read communications entirely so that you arrive PREPARED and ON TIME. Showing up late or unprepared is a forfeit of your tuition. For your own success and safety it’s your responsibility to understand what is being communicated to you.

Show up on time and prepared for all parts of your course.

IMPORTANT CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING, LATE ARRIVAL & NO SHOW POLICY:

Refunds can only be issued for cancellations made at least 10 days before the start of your course. If you cancel less than 10 days before your class, if you do not show up, if you arrive late or if you arrive without all the required safety gear, you are not eligible for a refund and cannot be rescheduled. No changes or cancellations can be made less than 10 days before your class date. Show up on time and fully prepared. Due to Washington State curriculum standards and requirements, late arrival cannot be permitted and you must have the required safety gear. Arriving late or unprepared is a forfeit of your tuition.

If you would like to reschedule your class this must be done more than 10 days in advance. There is a $25 rescheduling fee if you’d like to reschedule more than 10 days prior to the beginning of your class.

If you are late, unprepared or do not show up for your class for any reason you forfeit your entire registration fee. Give yourself extra travel time, plan to arrive early. Bring all the required riding gear listed below.

While our instructors will do as much as possible to help you learn to ride safely, we can not guarantee that you will learn to ride, or that you will pass the written and riding exams that are required to successfully complete this class.

For your own protection and safety you must come prepared to ride with the required riding gear:

  • A helmet that meets DOT standards. We do have loaner helmets if one is needed
  • Long jeans or heavier material pants with no rips, tears or holes
  • Long sleeve shirt or jacket that is weather appropriate
  • Eye protection such as glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses or goggles
  • Sturdy boots that cover the entire ankle with no more than a 1-inch heel. Absolutely NO canvas high tops or boots that have any elastic ankle covering. Riding Boots must be sturdy material and cover the entire ankle without any elastic for your own protection.
  • Gloves that are abrasion resistant that cover the entire hand such as mechanic or riding gloves.

In compliance with the DOL requirements we cannot allow you to ride without the required riding gear. Arriving without all of the required riding gear is a forfeit of your full tuition. Review the list carefully and completely well in advance of your course. To participate it is your responsibility to arrive with riding gear that meets the above minimum standards.

If you have questions visit our Policies or Frequently Asked Questions page. https://gowmst.com/motorcyclefaq – You can email us at motorcycle@gowmst.com if you need more help.

Your scores will be reported to the DOL within 3 business days of your test or course completion. Once your passing scores are recorded, you can login to your License Express account and add it to your license. You do not have a permit or endorsement until you login and add it to your own license. Your action is required.

We look forward to setting you up for success for a safe ride every ride.
