Adding Motorcycles to Inventory
The following will detail how to properly setup inventory items and manage them
Step 1
To get started, go to the “Motorcycles” link in your dashboard.
Step 2
Click the “Add Inventory Item” button.
Step 3
You will now see the available fields to fill out to manage inventory. The following is a list of available fields.
Last 4: This is for quick identification which is displayed when looking at the list of motorcycles. The last 4 is also used to create qr stickers for the motorcycles.
Model: The model of the motorcycle.
Slug: This filed is used to create a custom URL for the motorcycle. Since we are using this tool internally just skip this field,
Status: Is the motorcycle broken or active? Use this dropdown menu to make your selection. You will have the ability to filter motorcycles by their status.
Category: Is the motorcycle 2 or 3 wheels? Use this dropdown menu to make your selection. You will have the ability to filter motorcycles by their category.
Description/Notes: Use this field to keep notes and log maintenance history.
Manufacturer: Manufacturer of the motorcycle.
Year: What year the motorcycle manufactured?
VIN #: Use this field to enter the motorcycle’s full VIN number.
Value: What is the current dollar value for the motorcycle?
Images: Upload any images you have associated to the motorcycle.
Sort Order: Providing a sort order and managing them will allow you to control what order the motorcycles are shown in when being displayed in the listing page view.
Location: Use the dropdown menu to identify where the motorcycle is currently located at
Quantity: Represents the amount we and since each motorcycle have it’s own unique item be sure to set this value at 1.
